Wigan of Bristol
Enclosed are photographs of a three-train bracket clock by Thomas Wigan of Bristol that I have had for many years.
There are two 1/2in circular holes either side at the top of the case, which seem to be original.
On the inside of the case you can see where large washers have been fitted behind these holes.
Can anyone tell me what have been there originally. I thought it may have had side carrying handles with another finial where the top carrying handle is. But inspection of this handle confirms it to be original with hand-made nuts, and no centre hole where a finial may have been. If anyone can suggest what may have been fitted there please contact me by email.
