Opening screw-back casesThis is the method I used for opening screw-back cases which have no slots or flats for case openers.Stick a wooden block, slightly hollowed-out if necessary, to the back of the watch case with rubber adhesive. Leave it overnight to set, then put the block in a vice and hand turn the watch. Leave the block where it is for re-fitting. Bernard Tabor, UK |
