Extending pivot seatingWhen clock pivots have grooves in them and require new pivots, I polish the old pivot (to extend the seating) and then fit a 2.70mm bush (proper size) and I find that it makes a good job.I had a clock in recently that I repaired 10 years ago in this way and it still had oil in the grooves and no wear in bush or pivot.
