Soldering a dial hingeWhen a dial hinge becomes broken or unsoldered, the dangers of using a soldering iron nearby can frighten the amateur.But removal of the hinge pin isolates a large part of the problem enabling most of the repair to be effected with safety, although correct alignment must not be forgotten.
