Getting screws startedWhen faced with the need to screw a movement to the back of a case, it can be frustrating to get the screw started. I use a small blob of Blu-tac on the head of the screw, and then carefully put the end of the screwdriver in the slot. This holds it sufficiently to get a couple of turns into the wood. Removal of the screwdriver usually carries the Blu-tac with it.T Gurry, UK |
