Replacement pegs
Old and New Times attend most of the major clock fairs and operate a most efficient mail ordering service. They produce a comprehensive illustrated catalogue of all their products and services.
As makers of wooden and resin mouldings they can supply or make that elusive missing decorative part.
Dial pegs for English dial clocks are frequently lost and without a woodturning lathe they can be difficult to make and match.
The first illustration shows four dial pegs from their range; others can be made to a pattern if requested.
Larger wooden finials for early longcase clocks can be extremely difficult to obtain and another picture shows one of a range on offer. The finish is superb in preparation for gilding.
Mouldings of all shapes and sizes for all types of case are made or can be made. The third picture shows two semi-circular mouldings, again difficult to make without the correct equipment or skills.
Constructors wishing to embellish their own cases can make use of many of the mouldings on offer.
Some intricate carvings are made in resin, which is ideal in reproducing fine detail.
Also shown is a Corinthian capital moulded in resin specifically to a pattern provided by a customer.
