Ted Wale

After serving in the Royal Air Force during World War 2 as a Wireless Mechanic Ted Wale graduated in 1951 as an electronic engineer - Grad IERE. He worked in industry until 1972 when he started his own business. He retired in 1985at the age of 64 and presently holds FIEE.

He lived in UK unrtil 1960 when he was posted to Canada and has lived here ever since.

His father had a small but interesting horological collection as his hobby and from this Ted acquired an interest and later an active practice in the horological field, again as a hobby. For 20 years he had a small workshop.

He has had articles published in various journals: Clocks, the Horological Journal, the NAWCC Bulletin, Model Engineer etc

He has an interest in various branches of horology including aspects of John Harrison's work in which he have been ivvolved with Martin Burgess among others.
